Results
Ensuring the Sustainability Dashboard was Accessible and Optimized for Usability at Launch
We were hired to audit the design and built environment of Metro’s new Sustainability Dashboard for accessibility and usability. We reviewed the designs-in-progress and then conducted a thorough audit of the development site. We provided a detailed analysis of issues found, and a roadmap with recommendations for how to remediate to repair the problems and the priority level of each. Where warranted, we also provided wireframes or design comps to illustrate the recommended solutions.
The roadmap prioritized issues that were fast and easy to repair and that would have a large impact by improving the site for a large number of people. It also prioritized issues that were absolute blockers for people being able to access the content, whether with a mouse and keyboard, a screen reader, or other devices.
As the design and development team worked on changes and updates, Wire Media provided quality assurance testing to confirm that repairs were made correctly.
