How Content and Design Shape Each Other
When we design websites, the content and design work together to shape each other. You will write the first draft of content to make sure all the correct points are made. Then, our designer and copywriter work together, adjusting the content and/or the design to make them work well together.
If content is too long, we might break it up into smaller paragraphs, bullet points, or add subheads. Then the design may need to change to accommodate the easier-to-read content format.
The synergy from this process results in websites that look great, offer a lot of interesting and useful content, and are easy to skim to find what you need.
Copywriting and Editing Services
We offer both copywriting and editing services. Most clients opt for copywriting, where you provide the first draft, and some guidance on the points you want to make. Then we edit it for reading level on the web, consistency, grammar and so forth. You make the final pass of edits.
Some clients need copywriting support. In those cases, you’d provide background information, other publications or documents you have, and guidance, again, on the points to be made. After clarification of any questions, we’ll write the first draft, and you will review and request changes.
