Communications Strategist
Be our voice in the digital stratosphere
Drive Wire Media’s social postings and blog, and help a client grow their social skills too.
Overview
You will manage our social media posting on Facebook and LinkedIn, write and post blog posts for us at least two times per month, and work with a client to help them ramp up their brand new social media outreach program.
Specifics
Status: Part-time contractor, about 4 hours per week on average, so makes a great side hustle
Hourly rate: $30/hour
A job with meaning. Work for clients who are making the world a better place by championing climate justice, providing support and resources for immigrants, or providing leadership skills and training (for example).
Location freedom: 100% virtual office (since 2012, so we know how to do it well). U.S. time zones required.
Flexible work schedule: we work with you if you need to move your schedule around for family, emergencies, or just want to take a special 4-day weekend trip. Also, with the exception of one meeting every two weeks with Wire Media during business hours, and same for our client, you can work any time.

Job Description
- post our own social media posts to Facebook and LinkedIn
- write blog posts for our blog and post them to the site at least 2x/month
- work with one client (for now) to improve their brand new social media outreach
- social media best practices in building followers and relationships
- social media post creation (content and visuals though our designer can also provide visuals if needed) and strategy
- writing blog posts on design, tech, content, branding, accessibility, and other related topics
